Tarik Coles is a progressive, forward-thinking political advisor and consultant with a proven record of success across campaigns and government. Most recently, he served as Campaign Manager for Shanel Thomas-Henry, the next New York City Council Member for the 21st District in Queens.

As a Senior Advisor and Campaign Manager, Tarik also helped lead the successful elections of Jessica Ramos to the New York State Senate in 2018 and Larinda Hooks to the New York State Assembly in 2024. He previously served as Chief of Staff to Senator Ramos, where he advanced progressive initiatives such as the Farmworkers Fair Labor Practices Act and the Excluded Workers Fund.

In addition, Tarik has organized and hosted fundraising efforts for Democrats across New York City, including Council Member Chi Ossé, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and other members of the New York State Legislature and New York City Council. He began his political career as Director of Scheduling and Special Projects for then–Council Member and Finance Chair Julissa Ferreras-Copeland.
